Since 1952 the Alcohol-Drug Education Service (A-DES) has been a leader in providing professional drug education and advocacy for prevention. The organization was originally called the Alcohol Research Council and was funded entirely by donations.
Today, much of the organization’s budget is funded by government but it is the membership of the ADES that determines the organization’s mandate, sets its priorities, and keeps its message of prevention resolute and uncompromising.
The Alcohol Drug Education Service depends on a strong membership of citizens committed to prevention to ensure the organization’s independence. And it depends on the membership to provide leadership through its Board of Directors.
Please consider supporting the Alcohol-Drug Education Service by becoming a member and/or making a donation to support the work of prevention.
